Military-spec wristwatches used by the Marine Nationale (French Navy) were initially issued without straps.
To address this, navy personnel searched for alternatives and eventually used parachute materials. Made of highly elastic nylon, this material was modernized by MN STRAPS and employed for diving at sea. The straps gradually gained popularity among diving enthusiasts, quickly spreading worldwide and garnering a growing base of dedicated users.
In 2018, an astronaut brought Erika's Original MN Strap aboard the ISS (International Space Station). Photographs taken there captured the attention of watch enthusiasts, further boosting its reputation.
In December 2019, the straps underwent further evolution. The material was revamped, transitioning from nylon + latex to nylon + Lycra (spandex). A German machine used to weave artificial arteries was also introduced to manufacture the fabric. This innovation resulted in more uniform weaving on both sides, achieving greater precision and strength, ultimately creating a strap worthy of even the finest watches.
Erika's Original MN Strap has become a rare success story in recent years. Although many imitations have emerged, its unrivaled evolution has solidified it as the pinnacle of watch straps.
