Our founder Alex Nakayama always had love for timepieces since his early years.  In the late 1990s  he purchased his first vintage timepiece, Omega Seamaster from 60s in Vancouver, BC, Canada where he called home at the time.   The time piece had a character and kept excellent time.  It didn't take long for Alex to fall in love with collecting vintage time pieces.  Soon after, he discovered NATO strap, which came with his Lemania British Issue chronograph purchase.  The comfort of wearing nylon woven NATO strap was addictive.  In late 90s information on the internet was still limited and Alex had difficulty sourcing the NATO straps but he eventually found a way to G10 straps made in the United Kingdom.

In 1999~2000, Alex started AntiqueWatchOnline.com and shared his passion for Vintage timepieces and NATO straps with worldwide watch enthusiasts.  

Chronoworld was launched eventually and we have since then relocated to Japan.  What is unchanged is that we still only sell products we believe in and items we are passionate about to use ourselves.
